biography
Alexander Worthington, three years out of school at Oxford, met Elizabeth Lennox, then a sophomore at University of the Arts London, late one night at a spring festival, hitting it off almost immediately and spending one fateful night together. Nine months later, Andromeda Daisy Worthington was born, and Elizabeth left her to Alexander's care, returning to school and cutting off all ties with her baby's father. The little girl was raised entirely by her lawyer father and her classically English grandparents.

Victoria Worthington was particularly well-tuned to her granddaughter's talents, enrolling her in theatre classes when she was young, as well as singing lessons, piano lessons, and photography classes. Daisy, who excelled in all of those subjects, was more interested in drawing pictures around her notes and scripts. She loved photography the best, but continued to take her lessons to please her grandparents whilst keeping years and years' worth of sketchbooks filled with pictures of clothing, animals, you name it. She performed in shows since the age of four and could only manage small thank yous to the people who congratulated her on a job well done, even if she was only playing a flower.

It was on a whim, then, that Daisy auditioned for the Harry Potter films for Ginny Weasley. As a 10-year-old girl, she had read the published novels and loved them as much as the next child, but she never thought herself able to land anything other than an extra role in the movies. However, she was chosen from hundreds of young girls to play Ginny Weasley--the little girl with her head in the clouds, who preferred being alone to being around large groups of friends. She had only a small part in the first movie, the little girl sending off four of her older brothers to Hogwarts, but she was ecstatic to be on a large film set for even a few days.

Ginny became more prominent in the books, and Daisy felt herself dizzy with anticipation at the thought of months on set, away from school and in the presence of actors she had only dreamed of meeting after seeing them in her favourite films. She found herself followed by cameras, and her grandparents hired a bodyguard for her until she was old enough to stand up for herself. The invasion of privacy was the worst part about the entire ordeal, but it was a sacrifice she was willing to make.

Amidst her Harry Potter whirlwind, she found herself taking a role in a reboot of the St Trinian's series, as a taste of acting outside of everything she grew up knowing. Acting was slowly becoming second nature to her, but she wanted a change--she wanted to be a model, to design her own clothing. So she sent her headshot to several agencies and found herself walking down catwalks and posing for photoshoots in magazines. As much as she disliked being on camera when she was followed around Great Britain, she loved the idea of modeling the art of some of the top fashion designers in the world, and was inspired to show her own designs to some of the companies.

Now that Harry Potter is ending, it's the end of one era for Daisy Worthington, but she is far from being finished, moving on from acting. important trivia
